Among its four early medieval stone temples, one is uniquely dedicated to Lord Kuber, the divine treasurer and god of wealth. This temple stands out as it becomes the winter abode of the Utsava Murti (festival idol) of Lord Badrinath, offering devotees a sacred opportunity for worship when the main Badrinath temple remains closed during the winter months.
Pandukeshwar is more than just a seasonal retreat — it’s a key waypoint for pilgrims on the Char Dham Yatra, especially in the winter. The village is revered for its tranquil energy, historical temples, and deep mythological roots.
